JOIN THE GUITAR MASH TEENS
The Guitar Mash Teens are made up of kids from all over New York City who enjoy the experience of playing music with other people, and want to encourage their peers and the broader community to join in. The Teens help steer Guitar Mash toward events and ideas that are relevant to younger musicians.

And make sure you’re in the know about future flash mobs and other opportunities to play out and be involved.
Guitar Mash musical director MARK STEWART believes that the word ‘musician’ is too often used to discourage people from participating in their birth right as sound-makers.
Check out his full TED Talk about the subject.

We believe that music making shouldn’t be left to the professionals. We like to think of Guitar Mash as a movement, where instead of grabbing for the iPod you’re grabbing for an instrument… where getting together with friends might mean serving Jam with dinner. To match the democracy of Guitar Mash, no contribution is too small.
